Real Estate Areas and Regions
If you reference the Vallarta Real Estate Guide, it will become evident that that it defines Vallarta, Costa
Vallarta, and 4 regions within Costa Vallarta.
The Vallarta area is defined as the whole Bay of Banderas Region, encompassing both Jalisco and Nayarit
states.
The Costa Vallarta region is defined as the whole region, extending from Cabo Corrientes in the south to as
far north up the coast as San Francisco in Nayarit.
Within Costa Vallarta are 4 distinct regions. These are referred to as Puerto Vallarta, North Shore, South Shore, and
Costa Vallarta North.
The Puerto Vallarta region extends from Conchas China in the south to Marina Vallarta in the north. As a
visitor to the web site, MLS Vallarta, you will find the
neighborhoods comprising Puerto Vallarta listed in the search criteria.
South Shore region extends from Yelapa in the south to just south of Conchas China on Hwy 200.
North Shore region extends from Nuevo Vallarta, just a short distance north from the International Airport,
to Punta de Mita at the most northern point of Bay of Banderas.
Costa Vallarta North region is defined as the area north of Punta de Mita, at Sayulita, a small town
just north of the Bay, and extending north up the coast to Platanitos.
